Thomas Turiano Guiding skiing and mountaineering in Greater Yellowstone for over 20 years has allowed me to share my passion for the mountains with thousands of people who might not otherwise have had a safe and comfortable opportunity.

I began my guiding career in 1985 by enrolling in an intensive program developed by master guide and ski pioneer, Bill Briggs. The program took three years for me to complete, during which time I taught and guided skiing on Snow King Mountain and Teton Pass.

In fall of 1988, I began work as a ski instructor at Jackson Hole Ski School and taught there part-time for ten seasons. In spring of 1989, I began work with Exum Mountain Guides and the following winter, was hired as a ski guide with Rendezvous Ski Tours. My annual work schedule varied from teaching expert skiing in the chutes at Jackson Hole, to guiding backcountry skiing, yurt trips, avalanche courses, ice climbing, rock climbing, alpine ascents, and wilderness trips.

In fall of 1999, I began work with Jackson Hole Alpine Guides taking skiers and snowboarders into the backcountry off the top of the Jackson Hole Aerial Tram.

This wide variety of guiding experience allows me to provide my guests with safe and fun mountaineering adventures in Greater Yellowstone year-round. I currently guide in the Tetons, Wind Rivers, Beartooths, Devils Tower, and City of Rocks under the auspices of the following permitted guide services:

Exum Mountain Guides
Jackson Hole Alpine Guides
Rendezvous Ski & Snowboard Tours
